Age: 26
Personal: I'm a NICU nurse at Northside Hospital and I LOVE my job, taking care of sick and premature babies. It was actually a co-worker who introduced me to sprint triathlons and once I tried one, I was hooked! Now I enjoy being a positive influence on the lifestyles of those around me, even if they do think I'm crazy for training so much. When I have some free, non-training time, you can usually find me outside with my big, crazy dog Milo.
Athletic Accomplishments: The year 2007 was my first full tri season and it was filled with firsts! My first marathon was the ING Georgia in March, then my first half-Ironman followed soon after in May. I enjoyed the longer distance so much that I immediately signed up for IM Florida, and then completed it in November. However, the sprint distance is where I had the most success, including an AG win at Ryka Women's sprint, a 3rd overall finish at Acworth women's tri, and a 1st overall finish at a sprint tri in Panama City
2008 Goals: My goal this season is to focus more on sprint tri's, as that seems to be my strong suit. I want to better my placement at both of the women's races, Acworth and Ryka. I plan to do some other local sprints, like some of the Tri the Parks, and possibly another 70.3 in the fall.
