Age: 36

Personal:  I am an IT Project Manager with an extremely patient non-triathlete husband and a very old pug.

This will be my 4th year competing in triathlon. Coming from a background which was remarkably void of sports or fitness, I would never have believed that I would one day be a triathlete! But in 2005 I was somehow convinced by a friend to do a Danskin womens-only triathlon and was quickly drawn into the excitement of the sport.

I love the challenges that triathlon presents and the sense of achievement I get from setting and reaching goals.  I have already done so much more than I ever would have believed possible.  I get my motivation from my belief that with perseverance, smart training, and hard work, I will be able to continue to surprise myself by what I can do.
