Her individual coaching philosophy is borne out of a compilation of her experience with numerous coaches of her own. Growing up in Japan, England, and Italy before obtaining a full-scholarship to Furman University, Lauren had to change coaches often as a junior athlete. This has given her versatility in relating to different athletes as she has herself experienced many different coaching styles. In addition to her running knowledge, she is a Professional Tennis Registry Certified tennis instructor, and she has a strong background in private tennis coaching. With over thirteen years of competitive tennis under her belt, she is creative and adept at improving power, agility, strength and speed. Her methods are applied to all sports including basketball, baseball, soccer, and running to name just a few.
Versatility, enthusiasm, and dedication are her strengths as a coach and underline her coaching philosophy. Whether you are a rookie runner or an experienced marathoner, Lauren is dedicated to taking your training to the next level and will help you succeed as an athlete.
Lauren graduated from Furman with a degree in Business Administration. At graduation, she was awarded Furman's Student-Athlete Achievement Award for both male and female athletes along with Furman's Academic Achievement Award for female athletes. Volunteering is also dear to her heart as has been a site coach for Girls on the Run Atlanta (GOTR), and she bi-annually donates her time to helping GOTR's Fall and Spring races run smoothly.
