SwimmingFlycloseup1.JPG
Nic Dietrich has been involved in endurance sports since high school when he was a competitive runner and swimmer.  He focused his energy on swimming in college as a member of the SUNY Cortland swim team.  Nic started coaching in college as well, taking charge of the local club and masters swim programs.  After obtaining his Bachelors degree in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland, he went on to pursue his master's degree in Human Performance at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. While at La Crosse, he was the assistant swimming and diving coach for two seasons, while also coaching for La Crosse Area Family YMCA.

Nic wrote his masters thesis on training patterns and how they influence swimming performance. While most of his experience is in swimming and running, Nic also has experience in triathlon, taking up the sport while in graduate school.  Nic's first job after graduate school was as the assistant swim coach for Darton College where he also served as the head coach to the Darton College Aqua-Darts.  He is currently employed by the Sheppard Spinal Center as an exercise specialist in the Beyond Therapy program.

Currently USA swimming and USA cycling certified, Nic believes extensively in the science behind training, and it's application.  He uses these principles to produce training programs that are specific to each athlete, their lifestyle, and ability.
