Incorporating resistance training into your triathlon, cycling, or running plan can be difficult. You need the correct mix of exercises, resistance, and program, incorporated at the right time to be maximally effective.
Your strength or power plan should address your limiter or weakness, your individual genetics (fast twitch or slow twitch), your sport (sprint or long course), and your goal or "peak" date. Most importantaly, strength training can detract from the quality of your sport specific running, biking, and swimming if integrated at the wrong time and/or intensity.
We have a variety of sport specific services at the athletes disposal. Our coaches can perform a strength / flexibility assessment and help you design a program that is most productive and safe. Often a few sessions will give you the tools necessary to make the most out of the time you spend in the gym, or design an efficient program you can perform in your own home. We often design time economical strength maintenance programs for injury prevention during the season to keep the athlete "shored up" as they peak for their event. Our speed and agility coach, Sherri Allen, has over 20 years experience work with young athletes competiting in ball sports and has the plan to take your young athlete to the next level.
