Age: 42
Personal:I am originally from the Philadelphia area, I grew up swimming and swam for the University of Pennsylvania. I have lived in Atlanta for 16 years with my husband, Steve, who is responsible for getting me started in triathlons. We have 3 children and one dog who loves to run. I was a nurse practitioner until my third child was born, now I work as a camp nurse in the summer.
I enjoy competing in many aspects of life. It is what gives me a purpose to train, other than just to feel good after a hard workout. I most enjoy the people I meet and train with, especially triathletes. I try to encourage others to join the fun, and teach them all the many facets of training and racing triathlons. As a mother, I act as a role model for my kids, it helps my sanity, and it is a piece of me that is separate from my other roles in life. I hope to continue to compete in triathlons for as long as I can, and to use my God given athletic talent to help others.

I wanted to update my webpage for the 2007 season, now that it is finished. I started out strong, but I had an accident (a fall) in September and sprained my SI joint. That is not a fun area to hit. I did not race Tugaloo or South Carolina because of it. I did recover to race at the 70.3 Worlds, although it was still a bit of an issue on the run, as well as some plantar fascitis that had flared up. Next season I will end my races sooner than November! Here are the results anyway:
April 2007 - Tri the Parks Sprint (Carrolton) 1st overall
May 2007 - Disney 70.3 2nd age group, qualified for Worlds
June 2007 - Irongirl sprint 2nd overall (to Michellie Jones)
It was fun to race her!
July 2007 - Chattanooga OD Tri 1st Masters - SE champion
August 2007 - Tri the Parks sprint (High Falls) 1st overall
October 2007 - Emerald Pointe Tri 3rd overall
November 2007 - Worlds 70.3 9th age group
