Personal: The big news is Ann and I were married in September of 2007, and we have started 2008 navigating new schedules, travel and training programs. My role as a Director in E&Y's Tax practice keeps me working with a great team of really smart people. My first event was the Triangle Triathlon in 1989. I recall being pleased that my seven years of wrestling experience paid dividends in ways I would never have anticipated. I crossed the line and was already thinking about the next opportunity; however, like many, I was all for sprints, perhaps an international distance one day, but a Half, now that's insane ... so how I found myself treading water at 6:55 AM in the "rowing pond" in Lake Placid in 1999 is another story for another time. But what a day ... accomplishing a goal that required a level of effort and focus that I was not entirely sure resided within me, still gives me chills. So why is triathlon still a part of my life almost 20 years later? Triathlon has directly or indirectly led me to my wife, many of my close friends, a healthy lifestyle, the opportunity to set/accomplish goals, being a psotive influence ... perhaps most importantly, I still get to race with important people in my life, and toe the starting line with the full expectation that today I can go faster than I have ever gone before.

Eagleman 70.3 - 4:11 24th/2nd 40 to 44 - IMQ
ITU Long Course Worlds - 4:00 - 5th Overall/1st American
Duke Half - 4:22 - 2nd Overall
70.3 Worlds - 4:05 - 50th Overall, 2nd in 40 to 44

2006:
Eagleman 70.3 - 4:20 - 17th/1st in 40 to 44 - IMQ
SC Half - 4:15 - 1st Overall - Course Record
