Walk / run progression starts off at a fast "race walk" and proceeds seamlessly to a slow smooth run. This is a very good way to practice smooth turn over, foot strike, and eliminate vertical oscillation. Your feet should skim the ground, not strike it, and your head should not "bob," but should stay level. Concentrate on a smooth seamless transition from walk to run.
