Body Type, Training, and Racing

Your body type was primarily determined before you were born.         When it comes to racing, lamenting your body type is futile and counter-productive.        Cyclists can be particularly hard on themselves.        Small bodied climbers wish they were faster in the flats, and the larger cyclists hate being dropped in the hills.        It is the natural order of cycling.        When it comes training and racing, your body type is an important consideration.        The smart athlete identifies their strengths to exploit and weaknesses to develop.  Read on...

Gear Review- Felt B16, Felt Lowers The Price and Raises The Bar
felt b16But the B16 as an entrylevel carbon bike is, by no means, ill-equipped. In fact, Felt uses a mix of Durace, 105, andFSA components, putting the most expensive pieces in just the rightplaces. What I like about a bike likethe B16 is that you have a great platform to upgrade for the future. 6 Steps To The Ultimately Clean Bicycle

transitionThere is clean, and there is spotless. When it comes to my bicycle I prefer the later. Cleaning my bike is a labor or love. Bike shops do a good job for the most part, but no one will give your bike as much TLC as you will. Not only will it look better, a dirty drive train can rob 1-3% of your power and wears faster. Over the years I have experimented with various methods of cleaning and degreasing my bike and I have finally come up with a system that completely removes the accumulated power robbing gunk. It is not the fastest method; but it is thorough and you will feel the difference.
