  • General Fitness vs. Athletic Achievement

Not only were they able to achieve their fitness goals but they developed a change in attitude; a sense of pride and a new realization of their capabilities.

    Do You Know the Rules?

The presentation he gave the club was very informative and some of the more common rule violations were surprising.

Strengthen the Medius for Injury Prevention

During repetitive stresses, such as running, the gluteus medius can fatigue and other muscles have to contract to maintain the proper forces about the hip joint. These compensations often are the main culprits of iliotibial band problems, piriformis syndrome and other repetitive stress injuries.

The Sport Factory Welcomes Brett Daniels

The Sport Factory is proud to introduce Brett Daniels as one of our triathlon and running coaches. Since completing his first Sprint Triathlon in Doha, Kuwait in May of 1998, Brett has gone on to complete over 40 multi sport events including numerous Ironman and marathon races as well as shorter distance events.

Brett brings the right combination of knowledge, experience, patience, and enthusiasm to The Sport Factory and we are pleased to have him on board.

RMR testing (resting metabolic rate) lets you know how fast your metabolism really is and how many calories you can eat based on this. It is an excellent tool for weight loss, gain, or maintenance.

    Internal Imagery for Race Preparation

Many experts in psychology agree that top athletes use internal imagery much more often than external imagery. They also agree that internal imagery is more effective then external imagery in improving athletic performance.

Gear Review- Shimano TR02 Tri Shoe

The Shimano TR1 seems to get it all right, even though it is not the most expensive shoe on the market.
