Current/Therapy Pool
|
When we opened our new performance center we opted for the most state of the art current pool in existence. The problem with most current pools is that they were too small, too "weak," do not meet commercial specifications, or the current created is not laminar enough to facilitate a smooth swim stroke.
Endorsed by 5x Ironman World Champion Heather Golnick, our pool is used for private swim instruction, open water swimming simulation, rehabilitation, and pool running. It has the widest, deepest, and most powerful current in history; up to 4000 gallons per minute! The current produces slight changes in body position which closely, if not exactly, simulate open water swimming in a safe environment. The athlete must swim continuously just like race day with no lane markers, flip turns, or rest intervals. It is an incredible tool; perfect for swim to bike brick works out in conjunction with our GRIND classes or over coming open water anxiety.
Available by the half hour or hour for Team Members. Gold level coached athletes receive one free session per month.
