Meet Our Youth/Junior Coaches
Coach Holly
Marzetti, Coach Matt Russ, and Coach Tracy Palmer have achieved the new
USA Triathlon Youth and Junior Coaching License. All of our coaches
have at least 10 years experience working with youth and junior
athletes.
Tracy Palmer
has been immersed in the sport of swimming for over 20 years! She swam
competitively for Swim Atlanta growing up, which served as a basis
for achieving a full scholarship at the University of Kentucky. Tracy
has been coaching swimmers of all ages for the past 15 years. She has
coached junior swimmers to top 16 times in the country and several
Southeastern records. Tracy took up triathlon in 2009 and has
demonstrated incredible results, winning her third triathlon and
qualifying for the World Championship in 2010. Tracy also heads up The
Sport Factory's masters swimming program and teaches private lessons.
Holly Marzetti
has been involved the sport of triathlon for over 8 years, competing up
to the Ironman distance.She graduated from Bowling Green State
University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, and is an
elementary level Physical Education teacher with over seven years
experience.Holly has achieved a USA Triathlon Level II license, a USA
Cycling License, and is a USA Triathlon Certified Youth and Junior
Coach. Holly is one of The Sport Factory's Junior Elite coaches and has
guided her junior athletes to two National Championship titles and
numerous wins.
Stacy Hartman achieved
accolades as nationally ranked Inline Speed skater, competing for over
20 years. She holds multiple national titles, and several records. She
has over 10 years’ experience coaching speed skaters of all ages and
skill levels from beginners to World Team members and Olympic hopefuls.
Stacy began her college career at Florida State University with a major
in Health/Exercise Science and finished with a BS in Health/Exercise
Science from Kennesaw State University in 2009. Stacy is also a
certified ACE personal trainer and a NHE Level 2 personal trainer.
Stacy leads The Sport Factory's speed and agility coaching program working with children from 7-18 years of age.
Ilana Katz MS,
RD, CSSD is a licensed dietitian, specializing in sports nutrition and
body composition. Ilana works with various categories of athletes, from
the elite, to recreational and has a great connection with many up and
coming young athletes, particularly tweens and teenagers. One of the
most essential components of physical development for young athletes is a
healthy diet and proper hydration. It is imperative for
children to understand the message that balanced nutrition can both
optimize athletic performance and allow people to live a healthy
life.Ilana has worked with children on forming healthy eating habits,
preventing disordered eating, and assisting families with change for
ongoing health, optimal energy and weight management.
Matt Russ
is the Head Coach and owner of The Sport Factory. He has been
self-employed in the health and fitness industry for almost 20 years.
Matt is one of only a handful of coaches in the country to achieve the
highest level of coaching licensing (elite) by both USA Triathlon and
USA Cycling,and a USA Triathlon Certified Youth and Junior Coach. He
has worked with hundreds of athletes over the last fifteen years up to
the professional level and his athletes have achieved several National
Champion Titles and a World Champion Title under his guidance.
