Strength Training For Endurance Athletes

This class is designed specifically for the unique needs of triathletes, runners, and cyclists. Athletes meet in small groups to work on running form, sport specific strength training, and flexibility. This invaluable off season tool may be just what you need to prevent injury, restore muscle balance, and increase economy.
The Process
The class is progressive and begins with a strength acclimation phase. It is common for athletes to do "too much, too soon" when beginning a strength program, and the initial classes will be targeted on proper form, execution, posture, and mechanics. Running form/drills will be incorporated and the class will conclude with a 5-10 minutes of flexibility training.
Each week will be a bit farther along in the progression with a more aggressive mix strength/core training. After a solid base is established, plyometric phases will gradually be introduced.
Class Times and Formats
Mon 5:30pm Stability, injury prevention, isolation exercises, core, flexibility, and recovery. This class is perfect after a hard week end of training.
Thur 5:30pm This one hour class occurs prior to our 6:30 GRIND class
Saturdays 8:30am (starts 10/6/2012) Running form and drills, strength endurance, core, upper body power for swimming, our most challenging class! Up to 2 hour group ride usually follows.
Pricing (team members receive a 20% discount on all classes)
