Coach Matt Russ Achieves USAT Level III Certification

Coach Matt Russ has achieved his USA Triathlon Level III coaching license. There are currently only 23 Level III coaches in the country and Matt is the only Level III Certified Coach in the state of Georgia.

To qualify for the program, Level III coaches must demonstrate coaching excellence by successfully coaching an amateur athlete to a podium finish in a world championship event, coaching an ITU (pro) triathlete, completing the elite mentorship program, and acting as coach or assistant at an ITU World Cup Event. They must then complete the Level III coaching clinic and demonstrate advanced skills in a variety of disciplines and formats before being approved by the board.

Matt was one of the first coaches contracted by Carmichael Training Systems, was a Joe Friel Ultrafit Associate, and has also achieved the highest level of licensing by USA Cycling. His athletes has won numerous podiums regionally, nationally, and internationally in triathlon, duathlon, Xterra, Cyclocross, road cycling, and running.
