Another up and coming athlete to watch for is Dylan Rist. Dylan has been a competitive swimmer all of his life. He was awarded a swimming scholarship to UNC Wilmington where he was the swim team captain. Upon graduating he found an interest in triathlons, and with his competitive swim background he has an immediate advantage in the first leg. With only a few seasons under his belt Dylan has achieved multiple age groups wins and qualified for Long Course Worlds in 2006.

He came to The Sport Factory with a desire to take his racing to the next level and have a more accurate and formal training structure designed for him. After reviewing his resume he was awarded a spot on Team Sport Factory and assigned to Coach Richard Klepacz and they have worked extremely well together. His goal is to qualify for the IM 70.3 Championship.
The season began with an age group win at the John Tanner sprint. Next to follow was the Lavaman Olympic distance in Hawaii where he place 3rd in the age group. Finally, was Hawaii 70.3 this past June where everything came together. At this race Dylan finished 3rd in the age group and received a slot to the 70.3 Championship slated for November. For the second half of the season, Dylan will focus on some shorter races with his peak being the IM 70.3 Championships. Read Dylans team bio.
