Lonergan Places 2nd at Halfmax Championship

Alex Lonergan of Team Sport Factory placed 2nd overall at the USA Triathlon Halfmax National Championship ending an outstanding season, with victories at St. Croix and Richard B. Russell. Coming off a mid season injury, Alex was stronger than ever and posted the 4th fastest swim time (men and women) of 24:26. This opened up a gap that Alex was able to hold until mile 10 on the run when she was passed by 2 time champion Elizabeth Fedofsky. To quote Alex the race was "cold, hard, hilly, and painful."

Alex shared the podium with fellow Atlantan Jeremy Sipos who also placed 2nd overall.
