Sam Morgan Inducted Into Hall of Fame
Sam Morgan was inducted into the Northeast Georgia Sports Hall of fame in August 2009 for his outstanding competitive swimming career. Sam rose through a variety of swim programs eventually landing a spot on the Georgia Tech swim team where he qualifed 3 times for the NCAA Championship. He earned a All American title two times in the mile. As a sophmore he set a 1000m freestyle record of 9 minutes and 14.83 seconds which still stands today.
Now retired from swimming Sam has moved on to triathlon as his sport of choice and has already distinguished himself, earning several podium finishes and most recently a 7th place overall finish at the USAT Short Course National Championship.
Sam is now coaching athletes for The Sport Factory as well as pursuing a sports photography career.
